12 more weeks...

This was from last week...27 weeks
So yes I know, I know, I haven't been documenting this pregnancy very well. my sister called me the other day and told me that my dad was getting mad that i hadn't put any belly pictures up for a long time. I really didn't think i had gotten that much bigger... then i took a picture of myself. I guess i have gotten a little bigger...My belly button is trying so hard to stay in, but you can kinda see in the picture that the top of it is sticking out. oh boy....
Speaking of Boy, this little one is doing really good. Lots of kicking and such. He is recognizing mine and Kevin's voices, although he doesn't care much for mine, when he hears his Dad's he kicks and kicks. So sweet!
So one thing i didn't really think of before i was pregnant was how in the world i was going to sleep. Holy crap. this is SO annoying. no matter what i try its so uncomfortable! (the pillow between the knees doesn't work, neither does the one under the belly) other than waking up 5 times a night to pee, i wake up another 5 times to switch sides, i wake up with such sore ribs (which are now totally stretched out) I still have 3 whole months left....Yikes! lets hope they go fast!

Happy Anniversary to my Loving Husband Kevin!

I cant tell you How luck I feel To be Married to Kevin. He is such a good husband, I don't think that I could have asked for anyone better or more sweet and loving than him!  This year has been the very best year of my life without a doubt.  There have been so many new and exciting things happen and now so many fun and exciting things for the future!
I cannot wait to see what happens this year!

This year for our anniversary we didn't have a lot of money or time to plan something big to do, so we decided to just have a day to ourselves at home. It was So nice to just be with Kevin, things have been very busy lately with work and school and such that we don't get much time for that anymore.
ere we are a year later, A little chubbier on my part, and a little hairier on Kevin's part (Christmas Beard)
For our anniversary dinner we decided to make homemade quesadillas like we have since before we were married. its so goood!
I feel like i look SO much like mom in this picture. Its creepy!

Kevin was the very best at making the tortillas, so i just cooked them.
They turned out SO good!
Anyways the rest of the day we didn't take pictures, but it wasn't anything we could take pictures of....Just watchin' movies and such. we also took a nice long nap. Good day all in all. Next year I am sure we will have a lot to do, especially with our Harvey boy!

Harvey James Shumway

So I have to admit it has been awhile and I haven't posted anything about mine and Kevin's baby boy. But I honestly wanted to wait until I figured my scanner out. Well I figured it out...a few weeks ago. Such a slacker.
This week I am 25 weeks along! when these were taken I was 19 weeks along, He definitely is a lot bigger. I don't think he can move anymore without me feeling it. and let me tell you. Its a freaking weird feeling. its also weird to look down and see my belly lopsided or see Harvey kick. So weird.
He is already so cute!
Look at that "Orr" nose...
Proof
I am feeling SO huge! My shirts are seriously not fitting me at all anymore, its sad to think about. But more encouragement to loose the baby weight!
23 weeks.

We are So excited to meet our Son! About 4 more months until hes here!
but now that you have seen some pictures of our dear Harvey. who do you guys think Harvey will look most like? Me or Kevin?

Kevin's Birthday

These past few weeks have been busy but very fun and exciting. October 1st Kevin and I went up for General conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. it was so awesome because last year we had done the same thing, and i actually posted about it my very first post. but its been a year and this time we were actually able to go into the conference center (opposed to sitting in the tabernacle like we did last year) thanks to Kevin's older brother Nathan and his wife Heather. They were nice enough to let us use theirs.

Last year we took a picture in front of the Salt Lake Temple, little did I know I would be there just the next year married to that man and pregnant with his baby!

While we were in Utah we visited my sister rachel like we always do, but this time we were able to meet my new niece Lilly! she was only 3 weeks old and so tiny! we just couldnt get enough of her!

We also decided to celebrate Kevin's 24th Birthday a little early (his birthday was that monday and he had work, school and volleyball and NOT enought time to celebrate at all) we were so lucky, He was able to see his old missionary companions, and actually go horseback riding up in the moutains, SO awesome! (too bad i wasnt able to get pictures!) after that we went to benihanas for dinner where the chef cooked our food and threw it up in the air and lit it on fire right in front of us. it was so funny! Our chef was so talented and the food was wonderful! after dinner we got back to Rachels to have some birthday cake and open presents.

Sadly We had to leave the next morning for Laramie, We love going to rachels! its always so nice to see her and her family! Thank you guys for an awesome weekend! We cannot wait for next time!

16 Weeks Pregnant

So its been a busy few weeks, Kevin got lasik eye surgery so it was hard living not only my life but also his, I actually went to some of his classes to help him read the board. Thankfully after a week his eyes were all better and things were back to normal. The next week we drove to Utah to attend my niece, Ella’s, baptism. It was so good to see Rachel and Sami again, but a bigger bonus was that my mama flew to Utah the same day! And then on top of that I was able to see my Lewis grandparents! It was so very nice! Kevin and I were hoping that Rachel would also have her baby a day early so we could see her. But it just wasn’t right. Fortunantly Rachel did have her sweet baby that next Tuesday! Welcome to the world sweet Lilly!

Lilly Fay Baliey
So Wonderful day! I had my third doctor’s appointment on tuesday, Things went well, I measured pretty big actually. and gain a few pounds too, and you can tell my, I feel like my belly is getting huge!  I didn’t think I was supposed to start showing until I was around 20 weeks, but no, lets just say I wear alot of sweat pants!

Ohe thing I have been wanting to tell you all so badly is that I believed that I could actually feel the baby moving. but i just couldnt because I didnt want you all to think I was crazy. But there was no way on earth that what I was feeling was just gas. it felt so very different. So I asked my docter if I was just crazy. he said no, I am thin enough to feel it move and said that he was positive I had.

So Hooray!!! I have been feeling this kid move quite a bit, it kinda just feels like a ball rolling around, but hey. its a baby, and thats cool.

So this week my baby is the size of a Avacado- 5 inches and about 5 oz.

The picture below is of a 16 week old Fetus. (I think, at least thats what google told me) It looks kinda gross, but I hear this week it will start growing some fat and wont look as transparent.

I think the most exciting thing I realized about this appointment is that my next appointment, 3 weeks from now, is when we find out the Gender of the baby! Woo Hoo! I will finally be able to start decorating the sweet baby’s room!

13 Weeks

Hooray! only ONE more week till my second trimester! I feel SO freaking lucky. Things have gone by so smoothly, for one, just about every pregnant woman gets morning sickness, its like the badge of pregnancy and feeling nauseated SUCKS. I have had the stomach flu SO many times so I think I know how it goes. But gosh. I only felt a little sick for a week at the VERY most. I threw up ONCE. they say morning sickness goes away in the second trimester...so...Hooray!  I cannot believe I was able to escape that one of the most unpleasant things about pregnancy.
So I really didn't want to be one of those girls who took belly pictures waaayyy to early when they are just bloated or fat from "eating for two", and they THINK its a baby. Nope. its just fat. (no offence to anyone. I don't know anyone personally who has done this)  So I had a Doctors appointment last week and I asked him where my uterus was, and if this belly was in fact due to the Bebe. Luckily he said yes! my uterus was already 2 1/2 inches from my belly button. although the bump may not really be my baby. but my baby is pushing everything up. I am not bloated in this picture. Awesome.

Fetus at 13 Weeks.

This week my babe is as big as a peach. that is insane.
the picture to the left is a picture of a real babe at 13 weeks, that is the size of a peach? wow.

I will try to update the blog either weekly or every other week, I know how you creeps like to creep. Oh and one more thing. I always thought cravings where a load of crap, just ladies wanting to eat food they shouldn't. but no. I seriously want mashed potatoes and gravy all the time...even when we go to fancy restaurants and I cant have what ever I want...mashed potatoes man.

Home Sweet Home!

The whole time Kevin and I have been married we, of course, haven't had much money (as many couples just starting out don’t) We have had to find really cheap apartments and thanks to family and friends, we have been able to find places! It was so nice that we didn't spend so much to live, we were able to save a lot. but after living in two very run down apartments, (one that we were subletting and had to deal with ALL the stuff  the people  left –also the heater didn’t work well, then living in a basement that was from the 70's-also with all the older lady's stuff.) we decided that we needed to buck up and get a nicer, more expensive apartment. We knew exactly where we wanted to live and thankfully were able to get in!
Living room when you first walk in.

Other veiw of same room.

There are SO many people that helped us! We didn’t have any furniture at all because we had always lived in places that had furniture already there. Kevin and I went to Wisconsin the end of July. We got a call from Kevin’s Dad the day we got there asking us what we needed (which was everything) He was able to find us three nice dressers and a bed with a bed frame. Nathan and Heather got us Tons of super nice baby stuff and a dining room table with chairs, Mom gave us her couches that look Band new, P.J. and Steph gave us their Washer and dryer and a coffee table. Holy mama. Our house was pretty much completely furnished when we got home, and on top of all of that, they All helped us move in. Wow. Anyways, Thank you guys SO much, you have no idea how much you all helped us! We totally owe each of you.

Happy Day!

We have been waiting what feels like forever to do this, but we wanted to wait for the right time to say this, and finally Today it's right! Kevin and I Have Some very happy news to announce! We found out on Father's Day this June that we are Expecting!

Now first of all Father's day is always a fun day, and you really should pay attention for when it comes, it’s kinda a big deal right? because its the one day in the year you are expected to show appreciation towards your Dad for all the things they do....well this father's day I forgot and so did Kevin. I had just gotten back from Wisconsin the day before and i guess we were just busy! Unfortunately Kevin had to work that day but I soon found that it actually worked out for the best. Being the person I am, I thought it would be cool if for some way I was to be magically pregnant and I could tell Kevin he was a dad on father’s day. But it was the middle of the month, and I had no symptoms or an indication I was actually pregnant. I was seriously just crazy that day. So I take the test after he left for work and that’s when I start feeling really stupid, I don’t know why in the world I would be pregnant so soon, that was such a waste of a test. So I kinda forgot about the test for a little bit, and when I finally remembered I went to pick it up and lo and behold, The Two Pink lines. Yes...

It was SO fun when Kevin got home. I couldnt stop shaking I was so excited! I had made Kevin breakfast and it was all on the table and such and when he sat down to eat I pulled up a gift bag from under the table. Seeing as Kevin and I forgot about father’s day, he thought I had gotten together a present for his dad Joe, But I asked him to open it up and when he did he looked kinda confused at first, but soon jumped up and said "are you serious!?!" and was very excited. In fact, I would have liked to wait to tell everyone, but he really wanted to tell everyone that day...so we told his family. Codee (Kevin's younger sister) about had a heart attack and jumped around the room screaming. I liked her response the best, it was very similar to mine.
Now we are ok with telling everyone! I am almost into my 2nd Trimester and everything is looking really great with the Baby! He or She will get here late February! We cant wait!!
( I am Trying to get the ultrasound picture up...but its not working. That will come soon)

11 Weeks. Pretty sure I'm just bloated.

Real Ultrasound to come

The things I do when Kevins not around...

Alright, seriously, I am so very bored. Kevin works all day and I've had no luck finding a job (no surprise there..living in a college town with nothing in it..) So I decided to fill up my very empty day by making some crafts. this was one of them:
My little sisters Loved it! and it was great for me because we're on a pretty tight budget and I was getting really bored of my wardrobe. this was so cheap and EASY! and i think its so cute. Seriously, its so easy, anyone could do it. so I decided to show you all (Especially my sister Neinah, who is Amazing with crafts!) How to make them! Enjoy :)

What you Need...
So its simple. What you need is:
  1.  Ribbon, any kind; thin, thick, polka dotted, whatever. just have a good amount.
  2. Kinda thicker thread, I didn't have thick thread, so I just doubled up. it should be about the same color as the ribbon (I obviously didn't have it.)
  3. Cardboard cut how big you want you petal to be.
  4. A needle
  5. Beads, any kind really.
  6. some sort of fire, I use a lighter, you could use a candle.
  7. scissors
  8. and Lastly a t-shirt (or whatever you want to attach these to)

With the cardboard, measure out the ribbon and trim it fit the shape on the cardboard. make sure its straight on the bottom! Cut out six of these.

The Next thing you do its very important, you need to melt all the edges that you cut, because it you don't, your flower will fray and fall apart. Carefully put the petal NEXT to the flame. DO NOT put it into the flame. it Will catch on fire...

Next, after you melt the edges, scrunch them up as shown in the picture to the left, if the ribbon has a shiny side, make sure you are folding them the same way every time. Next you sew it closed so that it stays scrunched. I don't think it matters how you sew it up. just make it so it doesn't come part.

It should look similar to the picture on the left. Make six of these the same way.

sew them together one by one and at the last one sew it to the first one so that it makes a complete circle.
Add some beads :)

While wearing the shirt, mark where you want to put the flower. Then sew it on, nice and tight :)

And that's it! if you want, you don't have to sew it to your shirt! you can just put safety pins on the back and PIN them to your shirt so that you can wear them on any shirt you want :) anyways, Have fun, don't burn yourself, and enjoy :)
