Cruisin'

After We got Married, Kevin and I had the Wonderful opportunity to go on a cruise (in the middle of winter!) With the whole Shumway family for the family vacation (what a good time to join the family, right?-this also served as our honeymoon!). This was really wonderful and an amazing treat, especially for me! It gave me the chance to really get to know my new family and relax after a hard semester of school! this was such a cool trip and we were SO lucky to be able to go! Thanks Joe and Susan!

After Breakfast every morning Kevin and I would walk into our room to find our bed made and also a towel folded into a shape of an animal. Cool right? Well I don't mean to complain but, yeah, at first we thought it was cool. but then as the days went on we kept getting the same animal. we went to the other Shumway's rooms and they had really cool animals, like monkeys and such...Now I don't know if our towel folding guys just forgot what animal they made the\ day before or what. but We thought it was funny :)

The First Stop was really nice! A lot of shops and such and a nice big pool area. I thought it was funny and was a little confused at why we (the Shumways) were the only ones in the water because it was SO nice! (but very salty!) the boys had a fun time swimming and throwing each other in the water! and we also saw dolphins! very cool day!

I thought it was so sweet how much the nieces and nephews loved Kevin! Especially him and Sammy, they were inseparable the whole trip!

Another spot we made was Honduras! Kinda very touristy (not much cultural difference) but it had a nice beach!...
..and that's where we spent most of our day!

He definitely keeps me laughing!

The very last day we went to another beach, and Kevin, being the good sport he is, let me and our niece Natalie bury him AND make him look like a mermaid. Although, he doesn't really like being sandy. he spent awhile trying to wash the sand out...

Coolest thing in the world!
I was kind of disappointed during the trip because Kevin and I were planing to go hold monkeys at one of our stops, but it ended up being to expensive...BUT on the very Last stop Kevin and I were hungry so we went around looking for a food place on beach and then BAM! We saw a guy letting people hold his monkeys AND all his other animals, for how much? oh yeah, that's right, for  FREE. I love him...

Such a cool experience! Top right picture: HUGE lizard, it was so heavy! and Bottom pictures: I know what you're thinking. "What in the heck are you doing holding that HUGE discus ting scary spider? well Kevin was fine with it. Me, on the other hand almost had a heart attack! SO scary, but I Just had to!

I Totally loved the cruise! hopefully we will be able to go on another one sometime!

...And Thats That!

We're Married!

It was amazing walking out of the Temple and seeing all my family waiting to see us outside. As soon as we got out those doors they all screamed and cheered SO loud! It was Perfect!

The Wedding Party

The Men

Oh, and of course the gun dance!

After the group pictures were done everyone left and Kevin and I had a great (and quick) shoot with Rachel

After the reception was all over I didn't really think that everyone would be outside ready to pelt us with rice as we tried to run to our car...

...But they definitely did!!

This was Truly the best day of my life!

The Start of a Long Day....for both of us!

I must be the luckiest girl ever! everyone always said that the day you get married would be very stressful and hectic...well the morning of the wedding I woke up at 7, took a long shower. put my pajamas back on. ate some captain crunch while I got my hair done (by Lisa Ballard who was Amazing!). then I put my makeup and dress on and we took some pictures...a very relaxing morning!

I was also very lucky that day that I have a sister who is an amazing photographer!

I am not sure how Kevin's morning went, but I am almost positive it was just fine. It always is!

So close to being married!!

Engagements

It was really getting late and we really needed to get our invites out. but we couldn't without photos! Luckily during my mom's visit she was able to take some. after much difficulty and frustration (for my poor mom who had to put up with us) we were able to get some nice shots!

Finally Done! (Hallelujah) Thanks Mom!

Hey Mom...Guess What?

After much waiting, dating, and a very long and well planned out kidnapping (Haha...) He finally did it!
Absolutely Perfect!
Naturally, I called my very Best Friend, Abigail, to ask her to come out and help me find a dress. but Because she lived so far away, she told me she wouldn't be able to come; I believed her. My mom fortunately said she could make it and was out as soon as she could. she arrived in Rexburg at 2am Friday. I snuck out of my dorm and into my mom's rental. it was very good to see her! After driving for awhile, she asked me if I was hungry. I said yes. then she said, "Hey ABIGAIL, are you hungry?" I immediately stated screaming and jumped into the back seat. BEST SURPRISE EVER!
(come on, getting engaged wasn't that big of a surprise!)
I Love Her!

After visiting Utah and Idaho Falls searching everywhere for a dress, we finally came home to Rexburg to look in their little shops. and hey! we actually found the perfect dress!

One last step...
